Hanover – GESAcargo is Gestellpool Europe’s simple and efficient new option for members to track their racks with minimal technical effort when working with freight forwarders.
Racks can be recorded with ease upon delivery and collection with no need for additional devices or special software, which makes working with different carriers and systems much easier.
Many businesses in the glass and window industry work with shipping companies to deliver and collect racks.
This often complicates things: unlike the company’s own drivers, it’s not possible to equip all the freight forwarder’s drivers with company-owned hardware such as scanners for recording the delivery and collection of the racks. In the past, this has led to delays and errors.
As a leading provider of rack management solutions, Gestellpool Europe is now revolutionising these processes. “GESAcargo is fully integrated into the existing GESAweb system and offers our members freight forwarders a flexible solution that requires neither special hardware nor an additional app. This solution makes the transport process for racks much easier and can be deployed immediately,” says Managing Director Felix Spangenberg.
All you need to use the new solution is an order, the automatically generated QR code from the Gestellpool member’s Gestellpool system and a smartphone.
Thanks to direct system integration, all rack movements are recorded in GESAweb immediately, where they can be tracked by members in real time. This digitalised process saves valuable time and reduces potential sources of error. GESAcargo was developed in close cooperation with Gestellpool members and is available to both members and their haulage companies free of charge as an enhancement in the existing system.
